this blog is the fault of barb dybwad, who does a bunch of things on the internet.
Barb Dybwad has been living and breathing the online new media world for the past decade, sporting a patchwork career path from web development to professional blogging to managing virtual teams. She's currently head of content and programming at a new startup in the personal technology space: Tecca.
In past lives she has been Senior Tech Editor at Mashable, Director of Production at Crowd Fusion, Producer and Editor of Obsessable, Producer of the Joystiq network, founder of WoW Insider, Massively and Big Download, former Senior Editor of Engadget and Editor-in-Chief of the Social Software Weblog.
Barb is a gamer, information junkie and musician who likes to tag stuff, be outrageously distracted by funny cats, and blog about an obscene number of sometimes unrelated topics. She lives in the endlessly amusing city of Los Angeles, CA after enjoying the gorges of Ithaca, NY for 11 years.

Hi Barb!
I’ve read some of your posts on this blog and mashable, and I thought you would be interested in imo.im’s new lightning fast chat history feature.
Based in Palo Alto, CA, imo.im is a small startup founded (and funded) by one of the first ten employees at Google. imo.im is a web-based service that allows users to hold text, voice, and video chats on multiple instant messaging protocols. This means you can access and save past instant messaging conversations from anywhere you can log into imo.im–and on every protocol we support: AIM, Google Talk, Jabber, ICQ, MSN, MySpace, Facebook Chat, Yahoo Messenger, and Skype. There are other instant messaging applications that offer chat history, but you haven’t seen chat history like the one offered through imo. imo’s chat history is extremely fast, letting you view search results letter-by-letter as you type.
If you haven’t tried imo yet, you probably don’t have a chat history built up. If you have some time, please take a look at our blog post to get a look at some of imo’s chat history features: http://blog.imo.im/2010/02/behold-chat-history.html
Also, I would love to chat with you about any questions that you have about our chat history feature, or imo in general. If you instant message at all, I would encourage you to try imo.im. We don’t require a download, and you may find it much faster and more robust than other similar applications available.
Thanks so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you!
